From School Library Journal-
Peggy the Pig tries not to get scared, but spooky noises get the better of her.
First there is a tapping on her window, followed by a creaking on the stairs.
And just as she calms down and is about to fall asleep, a white object in the
window yowls. Poor Peggy is afraid, but she's brave enough to open the door
when the bell rings!
Emerging readers will love reading sounds like "clunkity-clunk" and "creak" with
expression and will enjoy the joke at the end.
Amusing illustrations showing the fearful piglet with dark shadows looming
add to the humor.
